The film is an official remake of the Thai movie The Teacher's Diary (2014) directed and co-written by Nithiwat Tharatorn, internationally titled in English as "The Teacher's Diary", which is referred to in the opening credits.
Pranutan Bahl is daughter of Salman Khan's best friend Mohnish Bahl and also his co star in many films.Zaheer Iqbal to his the son of his childhood friend.
Salman Khan producer of the film replaced Atif Aslam songs after Pulwama attack in Jammu and Kashmir.After this incident all of Pakistani artist were banned from working in India.
Bhumroo song from Mission Kashmir 2000 was re created for the film which also was set in Kashmir background.
Shooting started on 10th October 2018.Mohnish Bahl father of Prautan announced it on his Facebook page on same day.
Salman Khan was original choice for the script by writer Darab Farooqi.But he felt his current image doesn't match it and decided to produce the film by launching newcomers Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal.
Monish Bahl left no stone Unturned to promote the film on social media he was posting almost every details of the film on his Facebook and Twitter account to promote his daughter.
Zaheer Iqbal started his career as assistant to Sohail Khan in Jai Ho 2014.Which had his cod star Pranutan's father Monish Bahl in important role.
Salman Khan had said that he saw Pranutan at an audition and was happy with her and the approached for the film.
Pranutan and Zaheer Iqbal appear together in opposite each other only in last half an hour of the film.
Mir Sarwar's back to back second release in the same month he had a Kesari released a week before this and both films had him in a same look.
Film released alongside of Junglee on 29 March 2019.
