3. Aditya Pancholi real-life father of Sooraj Pancholi plays his adopted father in the film.
4. A case was filed on Salman Khan and Subash Ghai's production house Mukta Arts by the family of late Ram Kelkar who was the writer of the original film Hero 1983 as the makers did not offer them promised royalty.
5. On 14 August 2013 news was told that Govinda and Vinod Khanna will also star in the remake film.
