Ayushmann Khurrana's first film with Amitabh Bachchan

World Premiere on Amazon Prime on 12 June 2020

When Amitabh Bachchan went in public on streets of public and many failed to recognize him.

Second collaboration between Ayushmann Khurana and Shoojit Sircar, previous movie was Vicky Donor (2012).

Ayushmann Khurrana revealed it was his dream to see himself with Amitabh Bachchan on the big screen but due to the covid-19 outbreak, the makers had to settle with a digital release.

Amitabh Bachchan plays a very different character of a miser greedy old man for first time.

One of the first film which streamed online during the COVID 19 lock down.

Film was scheduled to release in April 2020 in theaters but due to COVID 19 lock down it was directly released on Amazon Prime Video OTT platform.

Ayushmann Khurana and Vijay Raaz have earlier worked in Dream Girl (2019).

Amitabh Bachchan starrer Piku (2015) was also directed by Shoojit Sircar.

When Ayushman Khurana met Tina Bhatia on the sets he recognized her as Choti Ammi her character from Gully Boy.

Farrukh Jaffar is credited before Amitabh Bachchan in the credits.

After the film was sold for Amazon Prime for 35 Crores in 2020.In early 2021 Amitabh Bachchan urged filmmakers of his film long delayed film Shoebite which was to release in 2008 to go the OTT.Shoojit Sircar directed both the films.

Farrukh Jaffar is the oldest actress to be paired with Amitabh Bachchan (9 years difference). Prior to this movie, Nutan was 6 years older than him in Saudagar.
