Faraaz is a story based on one of the darkest days in modern history. The movie is based on the 2016 Bangladesh terror attacks. The action thriller movie depicts the Holey Artisan Cafe attack in Gulshan Thana that shook Bangladesh. The movie is a story of deep humanity and the ultimate triumph in the face of violent adversity. The movie is based on true events and is not only about fear and loss but also about hope and faith in the darkest times. The thrilling movie gives a deeply intimate look into what happened during the Bangladesh terror attacks. Faraaz chronicles the events that took place on the night of July 1, 2016, in Dhaka where five terrorists devastated the upscale cafe and held over 50 people as captives for nearly 12 dreadful hours. The attackers entered the bakery with bombs, machetes, and pistols, and took dozens of hostages. The Dhaka Metropolitan Police tried to regain control of the bakery; however, in the fight, two police officers were shot dead by the assailants along with several civilians.
