Downton Abbey: A New Era is the sequel to the 2019 film Downton Abbey which showed the Downton co. hosting the king and queen of England. The ‘A New Era’ movie centres on the struggle between modernity where things are changing and a mystery from the past. The movie shows the Crawleys heading off to France for a new adventure. It has the whole downtown family of the original cast including Robert Crawley, Cora Crawley, Violet Crawley, Lady Mary, Lady Edith, Isobel Merton, and more. The latest film adaptation of the beloved period drama has a feel-good factor. The movie picks off from the prequel and is set in the late 1920s. It gives the audience a glimpse into the sojourn to the South of France and unravels the mystery surrounding Lady Violet's past. It has widower Tom Branson and maid Lucy Smith getting married without too many hitches. Watching the film is very exciting and audiences will get wrapped up in character struggles, extravagant soirées, and family drama. Downton Abbey: A New Era is a must-watch and will keep the audience engaged.
