After introducing the Note 17, Xiaomi is now planning to introduce the Redmi 17 in the Indian market next week. The device has already made its debut in select international markets and now the microsite of the device is live on Amazon. The new microsite reveals key specifications, design, colour options and more details. The device is confirmed to feature a 7,900mAh unit, a 6.9-inch 120Hz display and a 50MP rear camera. The Redmi 17 5G will launch in India on September 3 and will be sold through Amazon. The company has confirmed three colour options for the Indian market: Absolutely Black, Endless Blue and Eternal Orange. The design of the device looks similar to its global counterpart, which was introduced earlier this month.

The global Redmi 17 5G was launched in select markets earlier this month with a starting price of MYR 769, roughly ₹18,000, for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. Speaking of the India pricing, it may be positioned in the sub Rs 25,0000 price bracket.
The Indian version of the Redmi 17 5G will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor. The handset will feature a large 6.9-inch flat display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The Indian version will be backed by a 7,900 mAh battery and support 45W wired fast charging as well as 22.5W reverse wired charging.
For imaging, the device will offer a dual-camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor. Details about the secondary camera have not been revealed yet. An 8MP front camera housed inside a hole-punch cutout will handle selfies and video calls.
