At its Connect event 2025, Meta showcased what it believes is the “next evolution in AI glasses”: Meta Ray-Ban Display and Meta Neural Band. Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses feature an in-lens display and are designed to help you stay connected, informed and productive without constantly reaching for your phone. Each pair comes with a Meta Neural Band, which lets you control the glasses using subtle hand gestures.
According to Meta, Ray-Ban Display is the “first product that takes microphones, speakers, cameras, and a full-color display backed with compute and AI — and puts it all together in a single device that’s stylish and comfortable.”
The Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses feature an in-lens display that lets you check messages, view directions, see translations, and interact with Meta AI without pulling out your phone. The display appears only when needed and is placed off to the side so it doesn’t block your view. Meta says the goal isn’t to replace your phone but to help you quickly complete everyday tasks without breaking your flow.
Features include:
Messaging and video calling: You can view texts, WhatsApp messages, and Instagram updates, or take video calls hands-free.
Camera preview and zoom: Use the display as a viewfinder to frame and share photos and videos more easily.
Navigation: Get turn-by-turn walking directions directly on the lens.
Live captions and translation: You can view captions or real-time translations while talking to someone.
Music playback: See track details and control playback with simple hand gestures.
The Meta Ray-Ban Display with Neural Band comes with a starting price of $799 and will hit shelves on September 30 at select US retailers. Meta Ray-Ban Display and the accompanying Meta Neural Band come in Black and Sand colour options.
