Toshiba has launched its Z670SP Mini LED TV series in India. The Mini LED screen offers a native 144Hz refresh rate, 4K resolution and front-firing speakers. It is priced below Rs 65,000, and so, if you are planning to buy a new mid-premium TV, this TV could offer better brightness and contrast of a Mini LED panel, smoother visuals thanks to a 144Hz panel and more direct audio from its front-firing speakers. Here, you can find the complete pricing and other details to decide.
The Z670SP series starts at a price tag of Rs 64,990, and there are cashback offers of up to Rs 10,000 and zero down payment options during the launch period.
You can purchase it through Amazon India, Flipkart and Reliance Digital.
The TV comes with a 2-year comprehensive warranty.
The Toshiba Mini LED TV is available in 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch, and 100-inch sizes. With the underlying backlight technology, you can get improved contrast control from tiny LEDs. Mini LEDs also boast deeper blacks and better peak brightness compared to standard LED TVs, which can be especially useful for HDR content. Speaking of HDR, the TV supports Dolby Vision for enhanced visuals.
Toshiba has employed the REGZA Engine ZRi for upscaling and picture processing. This means lower-resolution content from DTH or streaming platforms could be enhanced to appear sharper on a 4K panel.
The number of dimming zones and the algorithm in use will decide how well the Mini LED capabilities are harnessed by the TV.
The panel supports a native 144Hz refresh rate. So, if you are a serious gamer, this could mean smoother motion in fast sports and gaming. Gaming features also include Game Mode Pro, which is designed to reduce input lag and improve responsiveness.
On the audio side, Toshiba has given front-firing speakers that could direct sound towards the viewer. Now, how good it is in terms of clarity and actual quality is something to be seen. Well, there is support for Dolby Atmos for object-based virtual surround sound effects. The company has also stowed in REGZA Power Audio+ and Eilex Prism tuning to balance dialogue and bass for typical TV viewing.
The TV runs on Vidaa OS by Toshiba’s parent company, Hisense. It is a fairly feature-rich operating system.
To know how this software and the rest of the TV perform in the real world, stay tuned for reviews.
