Samsung officially unveiled Vision AI Companion (VAC) at IFA 2025 in September. VAC is a new conversational AI platform aimed at everyday users who want more intuitive control and interaction with their TVs. The pitch is that this feature turns televisions into intelligent, connected household hubs. Now, the company has announced VAC will roll out across its 2025 range of Neo QLED, OLED, QLED, Micro RGB TVs, smart monitors, and the Movingstyle lineup. Here are the details:
Samsung Vision AI Companion is built around an upgraded version of Bixby. VAC is enhanced by large language models from Samsung’s partners, like Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity. So, it is touted as the ‘world’s first multi-AI agent TV platform’ capable of delivering natural, context-aware conversations directly through the TV interface.
The AI platform allows users to interact with their TV through natural two-way dialogue instead of menu navigation or manual search. By pressing the dedicated AI button on the remote, users can ask questions, request information, plan activities, or receive recommendations, all while continuing to watch content.
For instance, users can ask for recipes, movie suggestions, or even travel advice, with the system presenting visualised results and related content right on-screen. Vision AI Companion also integrates practical features such as:
The system supports ten languages, including English, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese.
Samsung says ‘Vision AI Companion puts the TV at the centre of a connected home.’
The Vision AI Companion builds on Samsung’s long-term strategy of expanding smart capabilities across its ecosystem, following the integration of SmartThings, AI Picture, and Bixby Voice in earlier models. Unlike previous iterations focused on device-level control, VAC aims to turn the TV into a shared assistant rather than an individual device feature.
Since the latest premium Samsung smart TVs run on One UI Tizen and receive seven years of software updates, you can expect Vision AI to gain several improvements and new features over time.
