Vivo is gearing up to introduce its next premium smartphone lineup in the Indian market. While the company has not revealed anything about the devices yet, fresh leaks have painted a clearer picture of what to expect. The new V70 family is said to include two models, notably the Vivo V70 and the Vivo V70 Elite. If the reports are to be believed, the upcoming Elite model may draw its power from the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, while the standard model is anticipated to run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. Aside from that, the devices are expected to sport large screens with good refresh rates. According to a recent report, the Vivo V70 Elite could be the first phone in the V series to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. The report also says that the regular Vivo V70 may come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip.

The Vivo V70 Elite is expected to come with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Furthermore, reports also suggest that the V70 Elite could be based on the Vivo S50 that launched in China. If the reports are to be trusted, then the device may come with a 6.59-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
In terms of camera, it may sport a 50MP front camera with autofocus. While at the rear end, it’s likely to launch with a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope lens. The device is also expected to come packed with a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging. Aside from that, the smartphone is also tipped to come with strong water and dust protection, although the exact certifications still remain unknown.
Details about the regular Vivo V70 are limited, but it is said to share the fast memory, storage, and ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The Vivo V70 series is rumored to launch in India by mid-February. An official announcement from Vivo is still awaited.
