Sony’s new flagship smartphone, the Xperia XZ Premium, has gone on sale in India. The device is priced at Rs. 59,990 and was launched in the country earlier this month. The phone is available for purchase via Amazon. The company is offering free 3 months subscription to Sony LIV and 5200 game credits for Modern Combat 5.

To recall, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium was unveiled at MWC this year and is the first smartphone to feature a 4K HDR display. The device is also the first to offer Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 835 platform in India.
The Xperia XZ Premium sports a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of  3840 x 2160 pixels. It offers 4GB of RAM  along 64GB of storage. At the back is a 19MP camera capable of recording super slow-motion videos at 960fps in 720p resolution. The setup is simialr to the Sony Xperia XZs, which was launched in India earlier. At the front of the device is a 13MP camera. The device runs on Android Nougat v7.1 and is equipped with a 3230mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.

While the phone is currently the only Snapdragon 835 powered device in India, it won’t be alone for long. OnePlus will be bringing the OnePlus 5 to the country on June 22, and has already confirmed that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 platform. The device will also come with a dual-rear camera setup and is tipped to offer up to 8GB of RAM.
