OPPO has launched the OPPO A78 5G in Malaysia, a new mid-range smartphone from the brand. Now, it is getting ready to bring this smartphone to India. While OPPO itself has not confirmed the date, a report by 91Mobiles has leaked the date, along with some of the specifications and colour options. It is believed that the smartphone will launch with just one storage option, and will offer virtual RAM support – a feature we’re seeing in a lot of entry-level and mid-range smartphones these days.
The OPPO A78 5G will come with a 6.54-inch LCD with an HD+ resolution of 1612 × 720 pixels. It will also have a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is tipped to offer 8GB of RAM along with 128GB storage. It will also offer an additional 8GB of virtual RAM to bring users a smooth operational experience.
The OPPO A78 5G is rumoured to offer a 50MP primary camera along with a 2MP depth sensor. It also has an 8MP camera for selfies. The smartphone has a 5000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. It will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC.
The OPPO A78 5G is believed to be available for purchase starting January 18th, and will launch officially on January 16th. The smartphone is believed to carry a price tag of ₹18,999.
