The company had announced OnePlus 3T in India on December 2 in gunmetal grey and soft gold colour variants. Back then, OnePlus had announced the soft gold colour variant will be at a later stage and it is being made available starting from January 5.

OnePlus 3T is an update to the already best-selling smartphone OnePlus 3. The smartphone comes with updates in key areas like battery life, memory and performance. OnePlus 3T features same design like OnePlus 3 with elegant use of metal unibody design and neat chamfered edges that offer great comfort. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD optic AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm's updated Snapdragon 821 processor.

The smartphone comes with 6GB RAM and the soft gold variant will only be made available in 64GB storage option. The smartphone comes with same 16MP primary camera but the lens is now protected by sapphire glass and there is also improved electronic image stabilisation while recording 4K videos. The smartphone also gets update in the form of new 16MP selfie camera, which is the best yet on a OnePlus device.

OnePlus 3T's most notable improvement comes in the form of new 3400mAh battery, which is 13 percent larger than the one found on OnePlus 3. The smartphone should ideally last longer than its predecessor.

OnePlus 3T soft gold colour variant will be available via Amazon's APP only sale on January 5. The registrations for the sale begins from December 28 at 5PM and ends on January 3, 2017. The smartphone will be available via open sale starting from January 6.
