Motorola has teased a new Razr Fold smartphone that will use a passport-style design. The upcoming foldable by Motorola may have a shorter and wider body than traditional book-style foldables. The company shared the teaser shortly after Apple unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone with a similar design. Samsung also uses a wider format on its recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 8. Motorola entered the book-style foldable segment earlier this year with the Razr Fold. The company has now hinted at a wider model, but it has not revealed the phone’s name, specifications, price or launch date yet.
That feeling when you hang up, and your razr says everything you didn’t. 😏

Motorola has shared a teaser of the new foldable on Instagram and X. The video gives a brief look at the phone’s design. It shows a shorter and wider body that resembles the passport-style design used by the latest foldable phones.
The device was shown in a black covering. This could be a camouflage case used to keep some of its design details hidden before the official launch. The teaser also shows a horizontal, pill-shaped camera module on the rear.
Motorola has not confirmed the phone’s official name yet. Details such as its display size, processor, cameras, battery and other features are also unknown. The company has not announced its price or exact launch date. More information could be shared in the coming weeks or months.
The timing of the teaser is notable. Motorola shared it soon after Apple launched the iPhone Duo. Apple’s first foldable iPhone also uses a wider, passport-like design. The upcoming Motorola phone will also face competition from Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8, which was launched in August with a 3:4 aspect ratio.
