Motorola recently launched its Edge 70 Max device in the Indian market. The smartphone gives direct competition to the previously launched OnePlus 15R. While both the devices are built differently, there are certain similarities in them, like the processor for both the devices is the same. As a result of that, making an informed decision about which device to buy can become more difficult. While there are some similarities, the devices are built for different users. The Motorola Edge 70 Max comes equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it supports HDR10+ and boasts Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection to keep it safe against scratches.

While the OnePlus 15R boasts a 6.83-inch LTPS AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution paired with up to a 165Hz adaptive refresh rate. The handset also features Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

Motorola Edge 70 Max vs OnePlus 15R: Processor

In terms of power the Edge 70 Max houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor under the hood. It’s further paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 internal storage that goes up to 256GB.

The OnePlus 15R also runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. However, it sports 12GB of LPDDR5X ultra-RAM along with UFS 4.1 storage that goes up to 512GB.

Talking about the battery, the Motorola Edge 70 Max sports a 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery which is supported by 90W TurboPower wired charging, 25W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging and 5W reverse wired charging.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 15R houses a slightly bigger battery with 7,400mAh of power and is supported by 80W of fast charging.

For the camera enthusiasts, the Edge 70 Max features a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor along with an 8 MP ultrawide sensor that doubles as a macro lens. It also has a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The OnePlus 15R also sports a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary lens with an 8MP ultrawide camera. At the front the device has a 32MP camera which is perfect for selfies and video calls.

The Motorola Edge 70 Max landed in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 54,999. Whereas at the time of launch the OnePlus 15R cost around Rs 47,999. However, with the latest price hike, the smartphone now sells for Rs 54,999.
