The much awaited LG V20 is coming to India. LG India MD, Kim Ki-Wan has confirmed to Digit that the smartphone will be launched in the country within a month's time. Infact, he also confirmed that he has just finalised plans to get the phone to the country.
The LG V20 is scheduled to be unveiled on September 6 and will be the first phone to offer Android Nougat v7.0 out of the box. Renders and images of the phone have leaked earlier and speculation suggests that the phone will come with a dual-rear camera setup and a secondary screen. It is also tipped to feature a QHD display measuring either 5.6 or 5.7-inches and might be powered by a Snapdragon 820 or 821 SoC with 4GB of RAM. However, LG has confirmed that the phone will sport a 32-bit Hi Fi quad DAC and that it has partnered with B&O Play for the phone’s audio.
Speaking on the sidelines of an LG factory visit, Ki-Wan told us that the modular design of the LG G5 has failed to impress consumers. "Modular phones are not very successful," he said, adding that the company is in the process of taking an internal call about the future of their modular smartphones strategy.
