The upcoming HTC U12 is expected to sport a 4K display and the new renders suggest it could come with an all-display design with minimum bezels.

A new leaked render of the HTC U12 has surfaced online revealing that the smartphone will sport an all-display design. SuggestPhone posted the rendered image and stated that the device will sport an 18:9 display aspect ratio while keeping the bezels to a minimum. The fingerprint scanner is speculated to have moved to the rear as to accommodate a taller screen but the report claims that the company could also opt for an iris scanner and ditch the fingerprint sensor altogether.

If the rendered image is to be believed, the HTC U12 will feature the power key and volume rockers on the right. The charging port is at the bottom and it skips on a 3.5mm audio jack. The image also reveals a single front facing camera sensor. Additionally, the fingerprint there is no visible fingerprint sensor on the front, hinting that it might be placed on the back panel.

A previous report tipped that the smartphone will feature a 4K display and is expected to be powered by the upcoming  Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 platform. The device is also expected to feature a dual rear camera setup.

HTC will reportedly launch a limited number of smartphones this year. A recent report claimed that the company will focus more on its R&D and marketing efforts as it reported losses for the first three quarters in 2017. HTC’s roadmap for 2018 was also revealed in the same report and the company could be releasing two new smartphones this year. The above mentioned HTC U12 is speculated to be one of them along with a smaller variant of the HTC U11+.
