YouTuber JerryRigEverything has posted a video that shows a method to make a transparent rear panel for the smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is a very good looking phone. In fact, it might be one of the best looking phones we’ve seen. As is turns out though, there might be a way to make your Galaxy S8 look even cooler by making its rear panel completely clear. YouTuber, JerryRigEverything has done just that and described a method to make a clear rear panel for the smartphone.

The video describes a process of prying out the glass back panel and removing the colour coating on the back of the glass. Prying out the rear panel requires a bit of heating, and careful removal, but just that’s just the first step. After removing the rear camera and the fingerprint sensor, users will have to use paint thinner to scrape away the colour, and peel away the lamination layer. After this you’ll end up with a clear glass panel. The video also suggests that the user remove the wireless charging module and part of the plastic piece covering the bottom. To reattach the panel, the video suggest using double sided adhesive.

However, it should be noted that doing this would not only void your warranty, but the phone will also no longer be waterproof. But, you will get a Galaxy S8 that looks unlike anything else out there.
