Flipkart customer orders pen drive thrice, gets empty box every time

Updated on 20-Nov-2014
HIGHLIGHTS

Adarsh Anandan, a Flipkart customer, has recorded a video showing Flipkart delivering an empty box instead of the ordered product.

As the e-commerce segment expands, the instances of orders from e-retailers going wrong is also on the rise. Earlier, Snapdeal sent a customer soap and brick instead of a smartphone and this time around, Flipkart has sent a customer empty boxes instead of a pen drive he ordered.

According to Firstpost, when, the Flipkart customer, Adarsh Anandan received an empty box the first time, he posted the pictures on Facebook. When the same happened the second time around, he complained to Flipkart and the e-retailer questioned the validity of the photos and his complaint and if he had posted photos of the empty box after taking out the product in question. Thereafter, Adarsh ordered the pen drive again and this time he recorded a video from the moment the Flipkart delivery boy arrived followed by the unboxing, which revealed, again, an empty box. Take a look at the video below:

If the above video, and Adarsh's accounts, are to be treated as genuine, then it's evident that Flipkart has a serious issue on its hands. Even if the retailer (or its defenders) tries to deflect the blame on to the third party sellers registered in Flipkart's marketplace, the ultimate blame (and corresponding responsibilities) have to lie with Flipkart.
