Apple has officially entered the foldable phone market with its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo. The company unveiled the phone at its ‘Surprise and Shine’ event, held under newly appointed CEO John Ternus. With the iPhone Duo, Apple is taking on Samsung in the premium foldable segment. One of its key rivals is the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Here is how the two foldable phones compare on price in India, camera, display, processor and other key specifications.
The Apple iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner OLED display and has a 5.4-inch outer OLED panel. Both screens support an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra features an 8.0-inch AMOLED main panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Along with that, the foldable device also sports a 6.5-inch AMOLED display.

The Apple iPhone Duo is powered by the A20 Pro chip, paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 2TB of storage. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, coupled with up to 1TB of internal storage and up to 16GB of RAM.
For photography, the Apple iPhone Duo houses a 48MP Fusion main camera and a 48MP Fusion ultrawide lens. The front camera sensor is currently unknown. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra features a triple camera setup on the back, including a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 10MP telephoto lens. For selfies and video calls, there is a 10MP camera on both displays.
The Apple iPhone Duo starts at Rs 2,99,900, and goes up to Rs 4,49,900. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra starts Rs 1,94,999, and goes up to Rs 2,54,999.
