Apple seems to be paving the way for the launch of its next flagship, the iPhone 7. The company has just introduced a new 2TB iCloud storage plan for iPhone users, at a price of Rs. 1300 per month. Previously, the iCloud storage options included – a 50GB plan for Rs. 65, a 200GB plan for Rs.190, and a 1TB plan at Rs. 650. All Mac and iOS users already get 5GB of iCloud storage free from Apple.
While those on a lower iCloud storage plan can upgrade to the newer, pricier 2TB option, Apple also allows users to downgrade their storage plans. So, in case you upgrade to 2TB and later feel like you don’t need all that space, you can get back to a lower plan of your choice.
Traditionally, Apple’s largest iCloud storage plan has always been eight times bigger than its highest capacity iPhone. Hence, the new 2TB iCloud storage plan also indicates that the company might be readying to launch a 256GB variant of the iPhone 7. Recent leaks also suggest a price point for the 256GB variant of the device. Furthermore, rumours suggest that the device may get a 32GB storage variant as well.
