Acer Iconia Tab A500 and Asus Eee Pad Transformer due for Android 3.1 update in June

While Google’s Android 3.1 Honeycomb announcement at Google I/O said that the upgrade will be available to all manufacturers by the American summer, it seems both Asus and Acer will be updating their Honeycomb devices a little ahead of time.

[RELATED_ARTICLE]According to ThisIsMyNext.com, Asus and Acer will be updating their respective 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablets, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer and the Acer Iconia Tab A500, in early June. So, if you had qualms about buying the A500 because of its undisclosed update cycle, you can now make up your mind.

Apart from minor interface changes like the ability to resize widgets and a better launcher, Google has also announced a full new set of native apps, from email to the browser.
