It isn’t everyday that Apple’s most affordable laptop goes on sale. But now that it has, it is best to take full advantage of the opportunity. Do note that this is the base variant with 256GB storage and 8GB RAM.
The laptop is part of Amazon’s Great Summer Sale and is being sold at a direct discount of Rs 7,910. This brings its price down to Rs 61,990.
Now, there’s more to this story. You can also avail a further discount of Rs 1,750 if you use an HDFC credit card. This will bring the laptop’s price down to Rs 60,240. On the other hand, if you have an Amazon Pay ICICI credit card, you can get Rs 1,859 cashback bringing the laptop’s effective price down to Rs 60,131. And this is the lowest price of the MacBook Neo yet. Considering how the laptop was already Apple’s most affordable one, this deal is quite tempting.
Finally, if you are willing to exchange an old laptop, you can get up to Rs 8,800 off. Now the amount of discount you receive depends on the condition and model of the laptop you wish to exchange. For instance, if you replace a Lenovo laptop with an Intel Core i3 chip, you can get around Rs 5,800 discount. This further takes the price of the MacBook Neo down to Rs 56,420.
A couple of days back, reports of the base variant of the MacBook Neo being discontinued had surfaced. A report in Culpium had said that Apple might discontinue the base 256GB storage variant of the MacBook Neo and the reason could be the rising DRAM prices.
However till now, this is just a rumour and Apple hasn’t said anything of the sort. So, it is best to wait for an official confirmation.
