This isn’t the first time Apple has to provide battery replacements for its products. A few months back, Apple admitted that it was deliberately slowing down older iPhones. The company said that it was doing so in order to provide a better user experience at the cost of reduced performance. The company would later offer a discounted battery replacement service, in which it would charge users Rs 2,000 for those who wanted to replace the batteries on their phones. Eligible iPhones include the iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone SE, iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. The discounted battery replacement program will be valid till the end of 2018.
