BSH Home Appliances has rolled out an extended range of Bosch and Siemens Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), which includes mixer grinders, air fryers, induction cooktops, gas stoves, and a fully automatic coffee machine in India. This strategy has been implemented as the country is set to become an independent region of the global BSH organization in 2026, and BSH is placing high hopes on the category. It is aiming to achieve close to 20 percent CAGR in its SDA segment during the next five years. According to BSH, the Indian market of Small Domestic Appliances is worth around ₹40,000 crore and grows by 8-9 percent annually. BSH has a dominant presence in premium product categories such as higher capacity laundry, dish care and built-in cooking appliances. Now it wants to leverage its retail and brand presence in this segment to further develop small appliances.
Saif Khan, MD & CEO at BSH Home Appliances India, emphasized that the launch of the SDA was a key component of BSH’s strategy in India till 2030 and this was linked with the fact that now India became an independent BSH region. The focus of expansion was based on changing consumer needs for healthy cooking and smart preparation of food.
“Our ambition is not simply to expand our presence in this category, but to redefine what premium Small Domestic Appliances can mean for Indian consumers,” Khan said, adding that BSH is “leveraging our manufacturing capabilities, premium retail network and service excellence to deliver a seamless premium home experience while leading through meaningful innovations that solve real consumer needs.”

BSH used the announcement to showcase its integrated small appliances portfolio. Here’s what’s new:
All of this is not happening in a vacuum. BSH is looking to build its success in India by targeting small appliances following a successful run with premium large appliances, and more investments into manufacturing and retailing of the product and services are expected to power the move. The sustainability of the 20 percent CAGR goal will be based largely on the extent to which BSH is able to extend its reach to markets other than its current premium segment and the pricing of the new products upon their launch into the market.
