I always switch my purifier to auto mode once the rains begin, as it lets the machine sense the air quality on its own and adjust its speed based on what it detects. You do not have to guess when the air feels dirty or figure out the right speed yourself.

On rainy days, I set the fan speed of my air purifier either on medium or high. This is also my primary setting whenever I feel that there is too much moisture in the atmosphere or when the room starts smelling like it has an accumulation of dust.
The low fan speed cannot catch all the moisture and dust in the air during the rainy season. However, keep in mind that you do not need to keep it on high all day.

If your purifier has a carbon filter or an odour boost mode, this is the time to use it. Rainy season often brings that musty, damp smell that settles into fabric, carpets, and corners of your room. I turn this setting on whenever I notice that smell creeping in. It helps pull out odours and moisture-related particles that a normal filter might miss. You will notice your room feels lighter and smells cleaner, even when it is pouring outside.
