Apple is reportedly making big changes to its top leadership as it prepares for the upcoming departure of longtime Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams. Williams, who has been COO since 2015, will step down at the end of this year. His exit is prompting a reshuffling of responsibilities among some of the company’s most experienced executives.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s head of services, will oversee the company’s health and fitness teams, according to Bloomberg. This move is likely part of Apple’s plan to unify its health and fitness efforts and comes ahead of the launch of a new subscription service called Health+, expected in 2026. Under the new structure, Sumbul Desai, who manages the Health team, will also oversee the Fitness team led by Jay Blahnik, with Cue supervising Desai.
