Softcell Technologies announced the acquisition of IT Secure Software (IT Secure), a privately held specialist security solutions company

Softcell Technologies, one of India’s IT Systems Integrator and Solution Provider, has announced the acquisition of IT Secure Software (IT Secure), a privately held specialist security solutions company. This acquisition is consistent with Softcell’s vision and strategy to become a leading Systems Integrator (SI) through continued investment in certain key technology areas including core infrastructure, security and networking.

Information Security is one of the most critical issues faced by CIOs and IT Managers today. The Security market in India remains largely fragmented and consists of either small niche players or large SIs for whom security is just another line of business. There is a gap in the market for a robust company with a national reach to deliver security solutions through a focused team.

With this acquisition, Softcell aims to fill this gap, bringing together their national infrastructure and customer base and IT Secure’s skills in providing specialised solutions and services in the security domain. The merged entity would be a company that customers throughout the country can depend upon for their security requirements.

“We are extremely excited about bringing IT Secure’s security capabilities into Softcell” said Sunil Dalal, Managing Director of Softcell. “The combination of Softcell and IT Secure creates a top-tier IT solution provider. IT Secure’s expertise in security will help us drive higher security services revenue while delivering more value-add to customers. By incorporating a greater percentage of security services into Softcell’s complete portfolio of solutions offering, we will further differentiate ourselves in the marketplace and solidify our value proposition as a trusted advisor of technology solutions to our customers.”
