Apple event 2026: Times Group’s Gaana app makes an appearance during Apple’s Siri AI demo

Apple has recently concluded its Surprise and Shine event, where the Cupertino-based tech giant unveiled its latest hardware. During the launch event, Apple introduced the all-new iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone 18 Pro, the company’s first foldable device, the iPhone Duo, Apple Watch Ultra 4, Apple Watch Series 12 and more. However, amid the hardware announcements, an Indian app also managed to make a brief appearance on the global stage. Times Group’s music streaming platform Gaana was showcased during Apple’s presentation, putting the Indian service in front of millions of people watching the event worldwide.

Gaana gets a spot in Apple’s presentation

During the event, Gaana was among the third-party apps featured as Apple demonstrated the experience offered by its latest devices. The appearance highlights how services from developers outside Apple are being presented alongside the company’s own products.

What does Gaana offer?

Gaana is one of the established music streaming services in India, with a strong focus on Bollywood tracks, regional music, podcasts and playlists. According to its App Store listing, the platform provides access to more than 30 million songs across multiple Indian languages.

The service also includes personalised music recommendations, curated playlists and podcasts. Users can access features such as Car Mode, while premium subscribers can download music for offline listening.

Gaana’s availability is not limited to the iPhone, but the app is also listed for several other Apple devices, which include iPad, Apple Watch, Apple Vision and Mac.

The App Store listing for Ganna also confirms that the entertainment app supports Siri. Hence, the users can use Apple’s voice assistant to interact with the app.
