Samsung has finally begun rolling out the stable version of the One UI 8.5 update to the older models of the Galaxy series after a long testing phase. The new software is based on Android 16 and was first introduced with the latest Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup. The South Korean tech giant has been testing the beta version of the software in the older device for a while now, and after months of testing, the company has rolled out the stable version for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series in the Korean market. The rollout of the update is in parts, as the users who joined the beta programme are getting the update first, while others will follow soon. With One UI 8.5, Samsung focuses on improving design, adding smart features, and making daily phone usage smoother and more useful.
One UI 8.5 brings a mix of design upgrades and smarter features. Samsung has updated its interface to look cleaner and use screen space better with something called Ambient Design. The changes make movements and app switching smoother, and it’s easier to move around the phone. Furthermore, with some apps you’ll now get to see floating controls that will help you multitask more easily.
Aside from the abovementioned, users would also receive new AI features that will make their everyday tasks easier. The new software update will also eliminate the existing bugs and provide you with better performance. Moreover, you can also customise how your phone looks and works.
