Samsung is all set to release its brand new interface with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 series at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. This update is expected to roll out with new artificial intelligence features, smart battery usage, and some minor design changes. It could also improve photo editing tools and make a few visual changes. Although Samsung has officially announced the launch of One UI 8.5, the company still remains tight-lipped when it comes to disclosing features and devices that will support One UI 8.5. Nevertheless, leaks and rumours provide some hints regarding what users can expect from One UI 8.5. Here’s everything we know so far.

One UI 8.5 release date

Samsung has officially announced that the One UI 8.5 will roll out alongside the Samsung Galaxy S26 series on February 25, 2026. Following that, One UI 8.5 is likely to gradually expand to other eligible Galaxy devices in the upcoming weeks.

One UI 8.5 expected features

One UI 8.5 is expected to focus strongly on AI-powered tools and ease of use. Leaks suggest that users may get new photo editing features that improve images with simple controls. Furthermore, the shareable Pro camera settings are also likely to make their debut with the upcoming One UI 8.5, making it easier to copy camera setups.

There were reports suggesting that Samsung may be working on a Network Battery Saver mode that could help reduce background activity and save power. The update may also bring improved Priority Notifications and a refreshed quick settings panel with more control over toggles.

Rumours point to Samsung possibly moving the search bar to the bottom in many stock apps for better reach. Other than that, the visual updates may also include new 3D-style app icons and three new lockscreen clock styles.
