During this year’s Build event, Microsoft unveiled Team Copilot, expanding Copilot beyond a personal assistant to work on behalf of a team, improving collaboration and project management.

Team Copilot extends the capabilities of Copilot from being just a personal assistant to becoming an integral team member. It actively participates and contributes to team efforts, enhancing productivity, collaboration, and creativity.

You maintain full control by assigning tasks and responsibilities to Copilot, enabling the entire team to work more efficiently and effectively together.

Microsoft mentioned that Team Copilot features will be available in preview later this year for customers with a Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 license.

  • Meeting Facilitator: Copilot enhances meeting productivity by managing the agenda and taking collaborative notes that everyone in the meeting can contribute to.
  • Group Collaborator: Copilot improves chat efficiency by highlighting key information, tracking action items, and resolving issues.
  • Project Manager: Copilot streamlines project management by creating and assigning tasks, tracking deadlines, and alerting team members when their input is required.
