Amazon has recently settled its long-standing lawsuit over claims that some customers were signed up for Prime without clear consent and faced a difficult cancellation process. As a part of the settlement, the tech giant agreed to a whopping $2.5 billion, where the eligible Prime users can receive up to $51 in compensation. While the eligible users will automatically receive the payment, if you’ve not received it, then you can still file a claim before the deadline. Now that you’ve confirmed you’re eligible to claim the compensation, simply open your web browser > search for the official Amazon Prime settlement website > check your eligibility > fill out and submit the online claim form.
Once done, Amazon will review your claim offer, and if approved, then the claim is expected to start hitting the bank accounts by September 2026.
Note: The last date of filing the claim manually is July 27, 2026.

The FTC has warned the citizens that it doesn’t call, email, or text asking you to pay money or share your bank or card details in order to get a settlement payment.
Moreover, they have also asked the users to be careful of fake calls, emails, or texts that claim to help you get your refund. If anyone guarantees you’ll be approved or asks you to pay a fee first, that’s a red flag for a scam, and the authorities said to report them immediately.
