Robots have often been seen as a helpful alternative to human workers in many settings. However, a strange and unexpected incident recently occurred at a restaurant when a robot went out of control, smashing plates and swinging its arms in all directions. A video shows a humanoid robot wearing a bright orange apron that reads I’m Good with an image of Nick Wilde from Disney’s Zootopia. The robot looks like it’s going to start dancing in the video, but it quickly starts knocking over plates and tables. The robot kept moving in strange ways even when a staff member tried to stop it. Some people laughed and filmed the scene on their phones, but the event raises important questions about how much we depend on AI in our daily lives. Trusting AI without the right safety measures can lead to problems, like self-driving cars, delivery drones, robotic helpers, and automated checkout systems.
The video is said to have been shot at a Haidilao hotpot restaurant in San Jose, California, as part of a promotion for a Disney collaboration. The exact date and authenticity of the footage cannot be verified, but the video clearly shows the robot knocking over plates at a visitor’s table with metallic arms moving in ways that could not be easily predicted.

The cause behind the robot’s disruptive behaviour remains unclear. Additionally, authorities have not yet been able to verify which company manufactured the machine.
A staff member attempted to hold the robot and calm it down to prevent further damage. Meanwhile, people in the restaurant watched this unusual scene, and some of them recorded it on their phones. The video also gained attraction online, as many people didn’t hesitate to comment on the whole scene.

Some joked that this robot looked drunk, while others assumed that it might be a promotional campaign related to Zootopia in this restaurant. However, there are also people who do not find this funny at all, as they wonder why this robot does not have an emergency stop button to avoid accidents.
