Amazon has launched two new smart displays in India, the all-new Echo Show 11 and the fourth-generation Echo Show 8. The devices feature a new audio architecture and the Omnisense custom sensor platform, paired with a redesigned form factor featuring edge-to-edge glass displays and slim bezels. They are said to offer deep bass and clear, detailed vocals, while enabling simpler smart home routines through motion, presence, and temperature sensing. The Echo Show 11 and Echo Show 8 offer maximised viewing areas of 11 inches and 8.7 inches, respectively, providing larger displays than previous Echo Show smart displays available in India.
Amazon Echo Show 11 comes with an 11-inch full HD display, while the Echo Show 8 features an 8.7-inch HD display. The screens support adaptive visuals that adjust based on lighting conditions.
Both devices are powered by Amazon’s new AZ3 Pro chip and use the new Omnisense sensor platform. This system uses inputs like motion, temperature, audio, and signals to enable smart automation. For example, lights can turn on when someone enters a room, or routines can start when the room temperature changes. For audio, the Echo Show 11 and Echo Show 8 feature front-firing stereo speakers and a custom woofer with spatial audio.
The devices also include a 13MP camera with auto-framing and noise reduction for clear video calls. Users can watch content from Prime Video and Netflix or use YouTube through the Silk browser. Multiple security camera feeds can also be viewed on one screen.
