Adobe is expanding its efforts to provide creative, digital and AI skills to learners in India via the partnerships with UNICEF, state government and online learning platforms. The company stated that these initiatives are aimed at helping students and young professionals build skills relevant to an increasingly AI-driven job market.
As part of partnership with UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited (GenU), the company said nearly 400,000 young people in India have got the access to creative and AI focused digital skills. Over 375,000 have completed Adobe’s Design Fundamentals with AI course, the company added in its press release.
Adobe is also the inaugural partner of GenU’s new Creative Academy. The programme will initially focus on India and aims to connect creative and AI training with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Adobe is separately working with the governments of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Assam, Bihar and Tamil Nadu to introduce digital creativity and AI learning across thousands of government schools.
The initiative expands Adobe’s K–12 reach in India to 7.8 million students and teachers. Participants will get access to Adobe Express for Education and curriculum covering areas such as creative problem-solving, digital storytelling and AI-assisted content creation.
Adobe Digital Academy content is also available through platforms including Coursera, LinkedIn Learning and YouTube, with IBM SkillsBuild recently added to the list. On IBM SkillsBuild, learners can choose between self-paced courses and six-week Guided Learning Experiences that include facilitator support and practical activities.
Adobe said it expects to reach 3 million learners globally this year as part of its goal of reaching 30 million learners by 2030. The company is also expanding its AI-focused curriculum to areas such as digital marketing, content creation and AI-powered creative workflows.
