Forza Horizon is one of Xbox’s biggest IPs ever. With so many games under the franchise, it is one of the most loved video game series. The latest entry, Forza Horizon 6, was announced just a few months back, and ever since then, fans have been waiting for the developers to showcase the gameplay. While the release date remains unclear, we do have some good news as Xbox has finally announced that the gameplay for Horizon 6 will be showcased in their latest Developer Direct. The company will also be showcasing the gameplay for some other games, too. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest announcements.

Starting with Forza Horizon 6, while we already know about a few details of the game, Xbox has only released a short teaser so far. The game is set in Japan, which should be a nice change from Horizon 5’s Mexico. Xbox has said that the Direct will include a dedicated feature segment for the game, which will deep-dive into a very first look at gameplay. Along with that, the new features of the game will be revealed too, with a look at the world of the game.
Along with Horizon 6, developer Playground Games will also be showcasing an in-depth look at Fable, one of Xbox’s most anticipated titles. The game was announced almost 6 years ago, in 2020, as a reboot of the original games. While the targeted release date for the game was 2025, it was delayed. As of now, the game is targeting a 2026 release, so hopefully, we will get an exact release date as well.
Last but not least, along with these two games, Xbox will also be showcasing the much-awaited Beast of Reincarnation. In case you didn’t know, the game is being made by the same developers known for Pokémon! Yes, that’s right, Game Freak is working on this game, and in the Developer Direct, Xbox has said that they will be revealing details about the protagonist, and will also be showcasing some new gameplay too.
This year’s Xbox Developer Direct is being held on 22 January, and it will be the fourth instalment. In their newswire post, Xbox said, ‘The show includes not one but two titles from Playground Games, with the UK studio bringing us a first extended look at Fable, as well as the debut of gameplay for Forza Horizon 6. We’ll also be taking a trip to Tokyo to visit the legendary Game Freak, offering a first in-depth look at Beast of Reincarnation, which we revealed at Xbox Games Showcase last year.’
