Ever since news about GTA 6 launch date was out, there have been countless reports about the game’s price. Earlier, it was being said that the game could cost way more than normal, reaching or even crossing the USD 100 mark. However, after that, reports pointed out to a more accessible price point, somewhere between USD 80 to USD 100, which is somewhere between Rs 7,500 to Rs 9,500 for India. But now, Take Two CEO has directly addressed the price of the game. And before you get too excited, he hasn’t really revealed the official price but he did say something that will be reassuring for millions of GTA 6 fans across the world.

According to an IGN report, Zelnick was speaking at a gaming conference when he talked about the GTA 6 price. He said, ‘Consumers pay for the value that you bring to them, and our job is to charge way, way, way less of the value delivery. How you feel about something you buy is the intersection of the thing itself and what you pay for. Consumers need to feel like the thing itself is amazing and the price they were charged was fair for what they got.’
Breaking down his statement, he is simply saying that the makers want to ensure that their customers are happy with the GTA 6 pricing and don’t feel that they overpaid. The game has to offer enough value to its players so that they feel it was justified.
As of now, the launch date for GTA 6 remains November 19, 2026. And it has been the same for a while. A pre-order page is already live for PlayStation players and the game is expected to release as per schedule.
Coming to the download size, reports had earlier claimed that GTA 6 could launch at around 150GB in size, potentially growing to 200GB or even 300GB with updates and DLC.
The game features two main protagonists, and will take us back to the setting of Vice City with next gen graphics. The NPCs are expected to be smarter, the world is expected to be much more immersive and the female character, Lucia, is being looked at as the star of the show since the GTA games have never really had a female protagonist till now.
That said, all eyes are on November 19, when the game finally launches for consoles. There is no word of a PC release yet.
