Rockstar Games is all set to finally launch Grand Theft Auto 6 on November 19. The game will feature Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos as switchable protagonists in Vice City (a fictionalised version of Miami) in Leonida, the game’s fictional state, which is rumoured to be the company’s biggest map ever.
Game Informer interviewed members of the Rockstar Games leadership, who revealed many details about GTA 6. Here are the details that you should know.
GTA 6 is set to have a map 2x the size of GTA 5 and will get even more elaborate details, citing the news outlet, Mashable reported. The map will likely have 6 key locations: Vice City, Leonida Keyes, Port Gellhorn, Grassrivers, Mount Kalaga National Park and Ambrosia.
The publication reported that the bond between the two will depend on the player in missions. By performing small actions such as prompt replies to messages, hand-holding, accepting invites to activities, etc., they can nurture the bond. The game’s story may shift depending on the state of the relationship.
GTA 6 is expected to bring different weather conditions for areas based on local factors. This essentially implies a player can witness multiple weather environments at the same time. The game is confirmed to get tropical storms and hurricanes, the report added.
Leonida is rumoured to be home to more than 170 species of animals, including birds and mammals. The natives may include flamingos and alligators. Invasive species could include iguanas, cane toads, armadillos and more. Whales, sharks, turtles, jellyfish, and more could form the marine life. Some of these may be categorised into Legendary, Discoverable and Rare.

Upgraded NPCs in the game may have different skin details and textures (tattoos and freckles expected), height and body types across regions. The company has also deployed a dedicated team to author NPC chatter. It is anticipated to have NPC interactions similar to Red Dead Redemption 2. Activities such as racing and more detailed carjacking are expected to be a part of the game.
