Krafton has confirmed that BGMI Air will arrive in India in early December 2026. The upcoming game is a lighter version of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), designed for users with limited phone storage and entry-level smartphones. Android users can pre-register for the game through the Google Play Store. BGMI Air will support existing BGMI accounts and allow players using both versions to play together. Here is everything you need to know about its release, download size, device requirements and features.
BGMI Air is scheduled to launch in India in early December 2026, the company shared in a post on Instagram. Krafton has confirmed the launch timeline, although the exact release date is yet to be announced.
BGMI Air is designed to use less storage than the standard version of BGMI. According to Krafton, the initial download size will be around 1GB on Android devices. The confirmed minimum device requirements include at least 1.5GB of RAM and an Adreno 306 GPU or higher. Also, Krafton has promised “no forced packages before the first match.”
One of the main features of BGMI Air is support for existing BGMI accounts. Players will be able to use their current accounts instead of creating new ones. The game will also support cross-play between BGMI and BGMI Air. This means users of both versions will be able to play together. This will allow players to choose the version that best suits their devices.
Android users can pre-register for BGMI Air through the Google Play Store. To do this, open the Play Store on your phone and search for BGMI Air. Open the game’s listing and tap the Pre-register option. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
Once registered, users will receive a notification when the game becomes available to download. Interestingly, more than 10 million people have already pre-registered for the game, Krafton revealed a few weeks back.
More details of BGMI Air are expected to be announced soon as the launch approaches.
