Netflix’s hit gothic teen horror series Wednesday recently wrapped up its second season, and fans can’t stop talking about it. With its mix of eerie mysteries, dark humour, and unexpected twists, season 2 kept viewers hooked right till the end. Well, the good news is that Netflix has officially confirmed that Wednesday will be back with a third season.
Here’s everything we know so far about the third season of Jenna Ortega-starrer Wednesday.
According to OTTplay, fans might have to wait a little longer for Wednesday’s return. The new season is expected to arrive in the summer of 2027. The first season was released in November 2022, but season 2 faced delays because of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Considering the time needed for filming and post-production, it makes sense that season 3 will take at least a year and a half to reach our screens. Just like the previous two seasons, Wednesday season 3 will be available to watch exclusively on Netflix.
Season 2 ended with a bang as Wednesday and the Addams family defeated Isaac Night, played by Owen Painter. But the finale also left behind plenty of unanswered questions that fans are eager to see explored.
One of the most interesting mysteries is the backstory of Wednesday’s aunt Ophelia. Viewers still don’t know why Wednesday’s grandmother kept her hidden, and season 3 could finally reveal the truth. Another major focus will be on Enid, who has now embraced her role as an alpha werewolf. Meanwhile, Tyler’s Hyde clan storyline is likely to be explored further, which could add even more suspense to the show.
