Netflix’s popular gothic teen horror series Wednesday recently concluded its second season, leaving fans talking non-stop about it. With its blend of eerie mysteries, dark humour, and surprising twists, the show kept viewers on the edge of their seats until the very last episode. Well, the good news? Netflix has officially confirmed that Wednesday will return with a third season.
Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming season of the Jenna Ortega-led show Wednesday.
According to OTTplay, fans may need to wait a bit for the new season. Wednesday season 3 is expected to premiere in the summer of 2027. While season 1 was released in November 2022, season 2 faced delays due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, which pushed back filming and production schedules. Considering the time needed for shooting and post-production, it’s understandable that season 3 will take around a year and a half to arrive. Just like the previous seasons, the new season will be available exclusively on Netflix.

Season 2 concluded with a dramatic showdown as Wednesday and the Addams family defeated Isaac Night, played by Owen Painter. However, several mysteries were left unresolved, and season 3 is expected to answer some of the lingering questions.
One of the most interesting storylines involves Wednesday’s aunt Ophelia. Fans are still curious about why Wednesday’s grandmother kept her hidden, and season 3 could finally reveal the truth. Another storyline to watch is Enid, who has now stepped into her role as an alpha werewolf. Additionally, Tyler’s Hyde clan is likely to be explored further.
