When Wednesday first made its debut, it didn’t take long for the show to be on the top charts of Netflix. Its mix of mystery and supernatural drama offered a modern twist on the iconic Addams Family world. Jenna Ortega’s strong performance as Wednesday Addams made the character very popular. After two successful seasons, fans have been eagerly waiting to know what’s next. Well, Wednesday is confirmed to return with a third season. From the release timeline to the plot, here’s everything we know so far about Wednesday season 3.
According to OTTplay, Wednesday season 3 is expected to release sometime in the summer of 2027. The gap between seasons may feel long, but it’s understandable. The first season came out in November 2022, while season 2 was delayed because of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Since the show requires filming, editing and visual effects, a longer production timeline is expected. Just like the previous seasons, the third season will also stream exclusively on Netflix.

Season 2 of Wednesday ended with several mysteries still unsolved. Although Wednesday and her family managed to defeat Isaac Night, it’s clear that more danger is waiting for her in the upcoming season. A major new storyline is expected to focus on Wednesday’s mysterious aunt, Ophelia. She was only mentioned briefly in season 2, and her absence from the Addams family has never been explained. Season 3 may finally explore the reason behind her disappearance, why Wednesday’s grandmother chose to hide her, and what secrets her story might reveal about the family’s dark past, and possibly about Wednesday herself.
