One of the most talked-about Bollywood films of 2025, War 2, finally hit theatres last month. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film offers the same mix of thrilling action, style and drama that made its predecessor, War (2019), a massive blockbuster. The first film, starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, set new standards for action films in India, and fans were eagerly waiting to see how the story would continue.

While War 2 is currently running successfully in theatres, many fans are curious about when they can watch it at home. Reports suggest that Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights of the film. Although the makers have not made an official announcement yet, the movie is expected to stream on the platform after its theatrical run ends. Based on the usual timeline of big Bollywood releases, fans can expect War 2 to release online around late September or early October 2025.

The sequel takes forward the journey of Kabir Dhaliwal. Once a respected officer, Kabir has now turned into one of the most dangerous threats. His shocking betrayal sets off a tense manhunt led by Special Units Officer Vikram, played by Jr NTR. Adding more mystery to the plot is Kiara Advani’s character, Kavya Luthra, who is connected to Colonel Sunil Luthra, the senior RAW officer played by Ashutosh Rana.
