The Odyssey follows Odysseus, played by Matt Damon, the king of Ithaca. After the Trojan War, Odysseus begins his long and difficult journey back home. But his return is far from easy. Along the way, he encounters dangerous enemies, battles and several challenges. He must overcome these obstacles as he tries to reach Ithaca and reunite with his family.
The film also follows his son, Telemachus, played by Tom Holland. With his father away, Telemachus has to deal with growing problems at home. He also takes on the responsibility of looking after his family and kingdom.
