Prime Video has shared the first look of The Bluff, a new action thriller set in the 19th-century Caribbean. The film stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Karl Urban in key roles. It tells the story of a woman who once lived as a pirate and later chose a quiet family life. Her past, however, does not stay buried for long. The makers promise a story that mixes danger, emotion, and survival. Directed by Frank E. Flowers, the film brings together sea battles, personal loss, and family bonds.
The first look has already created interest online, as viewers are curious to see Priyanka in a fierce and layered role. It also marks a major collaboration between global stars and filmmakers.

The Bluff will stream exclusively on Prime Video. Viewers around the world will be able to watch it from the comfort of their homes starting February 25, 2026.

The Bluff is based on the life of pirate Ercell ‘Bloody Mary’ Bodden, who lived in the 19th century in the Caribbean. After her violent life at sea as a pirate comes to an end, Ercell settles down in the Cayman Islands with her loved ones. Ercell thinks that her dark pirate life is behind her. Peace doesn’t last for long in her life when her captain from the pirate life, Connor, portrayed by Karl Urban, arrives in search of Ercell for some form of retribution.
Ercell is left with no other alternative but to call on the skills she had long forgotten from her pirate life in order to protect her loved ones from danger. The struggle is about survival in this story, as Ercell has to fight for her past and her future.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas plays the lead role, with Ismael Cruz Cordova also in an important part. Karl Urban appears as the main villain. The film also stars Vedanten Naidoo and Safia Oakley-Green. Frank E. Flowers has directed the movie, while Joe Anthony Russo has produced it along with a large team that includes Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
