After more than three years of waiting, Stranger Things finally returned last month with the first part of its fifth and final season. The new episodes reunited fans with Eleven, Hopper, Mike, Will, Max, and the rest of the Hawkins crew as they faced their biggest threat yet: Vecna’s growing power and the expanding danger of the Upside Down. But just as the story picked up speed, Netflix released only four episodes, leaving viewers hanging on massive cliffhangers.
The surprises were huge. Max was revealed to be alive but mentally trapped inside Vecna’s dark mindscape. Eleven and Hopper broke into a secret base deep inside the Upside Down, where they discovered that the mysterious prisoner behind the locked door was none other than Eleven’s long-lost sister, 008. And in one of the season’s most shocking moments, Will discovered he could tap into Vecna’s hive mind and control Demogorgons.

The second part of Stranger Things season 5 will premiere on December 26, 2025, on Netflix. Viewers in India can start watching the new episodes at 6:30 AM IST. Volume 2 will consist of three episodes.
The final episode of the season, Episode 8, will drop on January 1, 2026, at 6:30 AM IST. This will mark the end of the show.
