After the massive success of Netflix’s live-action One Piece in 2023, excitement is building for the next chapter of the Straw Hat Pirates’ adventure. Turning a beloved anime and manga into a live-action series was a bold move, but it paid off in a big way. The first season received over 37.8 million views within two weeks of its release and was praised by both longtime fans and newcomers.

Well, Netflix has officially confirmed that One Piece season 2 is on the way. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming season, including when it’s coming out, what the story will cover and who’s joining the cast.

Netflix has announced that One Piece season 2 will be released in 2026. Just like the first season, the next chapter will be available only on Netflix.

One Piece season 2 plot

One Piece season 2 will pick up right where the first season left off. Luffy and his crew will continue their adventurous journey toward the Grand Line. Fans will be introduced to new locations such as Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Capes), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden and Drum Island.

One of the most exciting updates is the introduction of Dr. Kureha, who will have an important role in the story, according to co-showrunner Matt Owens.
