Netflix recently teased what’s next for Luffy and his crew.

Netflix’s live-action version of One Piece became one of the biggest hits of 2023. Based on Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga, the show impressed both longtime fans and newcomers. Viewers loved its mix of action, emotion and faithful portrayal of the Straw Hat Pirates. Season 1 proved that even an imaginative world like One Piece could be brought to life in a way that audiences around the world could enjoy.

After the show’s major success, Netflix is preparing to release the next chapter of live-action One Piece. A short teaser of season 2 was recently shared on YouTube, giving fans a quick look at the adventures that lie ahead as Luffy and his crew sail toward the Grand Line.

One Piece season 2 release timeline and platform

One Piece season 2 is scheduled to release in 2026. The exact release date has not been revealed yet, but the new season will once again be available only on Netflix.

Season 2 promises bigger dangers and more exciting journeys. According to the official synopsis, “Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line — a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn. As they journey  through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.”
