Netflix’s live-action One Piece is one of the platform’s biggest global hits. Based on Eiichiro Oda’s iconic manga, the series follows Monkey D. Luffy. Luffy is a young pirate who dreams of becoming the Pirate King. Along with his Straw Hat crew, he travels across the seas in search of the treasure known as the One Piece. After the success of the first two seasons, fans like me are looking forward to seeing what comes next. Netflix has already confirmed that the story will continue with season 3. Here is everything we know so far about its release timeline, story and cast.
Netflix has confirmed that One Piece season 3 will arrive in 2027. The company has not announced an exact release date yet. I know that the wait may seem long, but the series requires long production work. Large sets and heavy visual effects take time to complete. Like the previous seasons, season 3 will stream exclusively on Netflix.

The third season of live-action One Piece will feature the Alabasta arc. This chapter of the story focuses on Princess Vivi and the kingdom of Alabasta.
According to the official logline, a rebellion “threatens to tear the nation apart, fueled in secret by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, and his underground syndicate Baroque Works, who seek to conquer Alabasta for themselves.” The official description further says, “In a season defined by unbreakable bonds and impossible choices, the Straw Hats must face a brewing civil war and a powerful warlord to save Vivi’s kingdom before it crumbles into the sand.”
Viewers can also expect several new locations, stronger enemies, and some of the biggest battles the Straw Hat Pirates have faced so far.
